Provides services to reduce, control and manage the incidence of tuberculosis (TB) in First Nations communities
Services offered and delivered are:
Services offered and delivered are:
- Case finding and management
- Provide anti-tuberculosis drugs for treatment and prevention
- Educate and support patients hospitalized with TB
- Provide disease case therapy and follow-up
- Support and facilitate Directly Observed Therapy (DOT)
- Maintain and update the TB database
- Provide support and education to health care providers and community members
- Assist in maintaining and updating the First Nations and Inuit Health Information System (FNIHIS)
