Psychosocial oncology team consists of social workers, a psychologist, and psychiatrists that can help patients with:
Supportive care team is made up of dietitians and a medication access specialist (drug navigator) * dietitians offer both individual counseling and group sessions * drug navigator can also give information and counselling about the side effects patients may have and how to best manage and/or prevent them * medication access specialist can help if the patient does not have a drug plan or if the drug plan does not cover the cost of certain cancer treatment drugs * some costs of the treatment may be tax deductible, visit Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or call 1-800-267-6999 for more information
