Seating clinics to help improve comfort, posture, and the ability to perform daily activities with specialized seating or mobility devices
Services provided by occupational therapists and an occupational therapist/physiotherapist assistant in collaboration with a wheelchair vendor include:
Progression level of rehabilitative care for patients working to restore or maximize functionality
Services provided by occupational therapists and an occupational therapist/physiotherapist assistant in collaboration with a wheelchair vendor include:
- assessment and consultation
- equipment recommendation
- Assistive Devices Program application authorization
- education on wound prevention and management, postural management, and appropriate use of equipment
- equipment selection and integration
- expertise in power and manual wheelchairs, as well as modular and custom postural supports with matching equipment to clinical needs
- expertise in addressing pressure wounds
- expertise in matching equipment to clinical needs
Progression level of rehabilitative care for patients working to restore or maximize functionality
