Description des services:
Help for young children who have special needs, and their parents or caregivers.
Every licensed childcare centre in Peel has Peel Inclusion Resource Services * program is for young children having difficulty in participating in child activities, need extra help to join activities, have staff know what they need to make friends or follow routines
A worker called a Resource Consultant will meet with parent/caregiver, the child and the childcare provider to learn about the child’s and family’s needs
The Resource Consultant works with parent/caregiver and the childcare staff to create an Individual Program Plan for the child that meets the child’s needs and the parent’s goals
The Individual Program Plan could include recommendations from professionals who tested the child
The assessment helps the Resource Consultant figure out whether the child and family need additional supports
The child’s Individual Program Plan could also include training for the parent/caregiver and the childcare staff
