Responsible for emergency fire and rescue service to the community

Provides the following services:

Structural fire fighting including rescue
Grass, brush and forestry fire fighting
First response, tiered response and ambulance assistance
Response to vehicle accidents including extrication services
Hazardous material response
Response to transportation incidents involving vehicles, trains, aircraft and water craft
Performs water and ice rescue
Performs high angle rescue
Performs confined space rescue
Participates in community emergency service plan
Assistance to public, public utilities and police
