Accessibility Advisory Committee Advises and assists city government and potentially city agencies, boards and commissions, in promoting and facilitating a barrier-free Stratford for citizens of all abilities (universal accessibility), including persons with disabilities
Mobility Bus Door-to-door accessible public bus transportation * call during office hours to book a ride * clients who have hearing loss or are non-verbal and those needing service on weekends can book through email, see city website for details * Attendants accompanying riders will not be charged to ride (maximum one attendant per rider)
Social Services Department - Children's Services Supports eligible families accessing licensed child care through subsidized fees * promotes the inclusion of all children with special needs in licensed child care settings
Social Services Department - Housing Division Provides and administers various public and social housing programs in Perth County, St Marys and Stratford for low-income singles, couples, families, people with special needs, seniors and victims of domestic violence
Social Services Department - Ontario Works Social assistance program that provides employment assistance and financial support for basic needs
