Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
- Child and Family Services worker on-reserve provided through Tikinagan Child and Family Services, head office in Sioux Lookout
- Hospital services available at Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout
- Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service, Wunnumin Lake Detachment; local phone: 807-442-2570, fax: 807-442-9962
- Provides a Northern Store, a General Store, Troll's Store and the Wab Store
- Provides the Norman Hall Community Centre for community events and meetings
- Offers a community arena and a Senior's Complex
- Operates a Canada Post postal station
- Offers a local radio station and cable television
- Provides provincial court services in the community at the Band Office on an occasional basis through a Scheduled Outreach site
- Serviced by scheduled and charter flights through the Wunnumin Lake Airport located 3.7 km S of community; maintained and serviced by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario
- Provides worship services at St James Anglican Church
- Administers education services and Lydia Lois Beardy Memorial School under the Wunnumin Lake Education Authority
- Offers an Emergency First Response Team and a Volunteer Fire Department
- Provides health care and health programs at the Wanapetum Memorial Health Centre
- Administers the Wunnumin Lake Day Care Centre
