A Celebration of Community Helpers Event
Join Family Centre Argyle and Merrymount as we celebrate all of the amazing Community Helpers who make our neighbourhoods safe and vibrant places to grow! We will have a Fire Truck, Therapy Dogs, and lots of other Community Helpers! There will be activities for children and information for parents/caregivers.
Baby Fun! (With Parent Social)
Parents/Caregivers and infants aged 0-12 months are welcome to join us for infant fun and exploration from 1:30-3:00pm. We will start with an interactive Baby Circle Time filled with songs and stories. After the program, we will have a snack and beverages for the adults and we encourage you to stay until 3:30pm to socialize and share in your parenting journeys with other parents/caregivers.
Busy Babies! (With Parent Social)
A program for "Busy Babies" aged 9 months - 2 years old who are on the move! This program offers activities, toys, and learning opportunities to children who are entering or are in the Toddler Stage. Towards the end of this program we will have snacks and beverages for the parents/caregivers so that they can better socialize with other adults.
Crouch Branch Library Indoor EarlyON Playgroup
Indoor Playgroup at Crouch Branch Public Library (550 Hamilton Rd.). A variety of activities will be provided: craft, sensory, gross motor, fine motor, dramatic play and more!
EarlyON Playgroup
Playgroup for children 0-6 years old and their parents/caregivers. Staff will provide a variety of activities for families to use to play, learn and grow together. Hosted by Childreach.
EarlyON Playgroup & Motion Monday
Join us in our EarlyON Playroom on Mondays where we will not only have our regular Playroom set up, we will also have Gross Motor activities set up in our Community Room. Activities will include but are not limited to: crash mats, tunnels, ball pit, trampoline, wobble board, slide, climbers and more! Children can safely explore all of these fun activities to improve their gross motor skills and play through movement and exploration!
EarlyON Playroom with La Ribambelle
Parents and children ages 0-6 are invited to join La Ribambelle in our EarlyON Playroom. This program offers an immersive French experience, however French language knowledge is not required. We will provide different materials, toys and open ended art for little ones to explore.
East Branch Library Indoor EarlyON Playgroup
Indoor Playgroup at East London Branch Public Library (2016 Dundas St.). A variety of activities will be provided: craft, sensory, gross motor, fine motor, dramatic play and more!
Family Centre Argyle's 3rd Annual Teddy Bear Picnic
Join us for our most in-demand event of the year: Family Centre Argyle's 3rd Annual Teddy Bear Picnic! Registration for this event will not open until 1 week before the event -- please watch our social media (Facebook and Instragram) for details as the event date gets closer. If you are unable to reserve a picnic, families are still welcome to attend and bring their own picnics. We will have some additional beverages and snacks for families without reserved spots. Please note that this event is very popular and will likely sell-out. We will do our best to accommodate as many families as possible, however, we do have limited funding and manpower.
Family Prism Art
LUSO Community Services invites little artists ages 2-7 and their parent/caregiver to register for a 7-week program of arts, crafts, stories, and fun!
FREE Community Take-Out Lunch
LUSO Community Services will be serving FREE Take-Out meals to individuals and families. Meals will be served on a first come, first served basis while quantities last. For more information, please contact Mikyla at mikyla@lusocentre.org or 519-520-7638.
FREE Family Movie Day
Join Family Centre Argyle for a FREE Family Movie! We will have some movie-related crafts as well as popcorn and iced tea while quantities last. Watch our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram) for more details about the movie as the date gets closer!
FREE Pop-Up Market
LUSO Community Services will be offering a free Pop-Up Market with fresh produce for low income families and individuals living in N5V & N5W postal code regions. Please bring a bag and IDs for all members of your household. Produce quantities are limited so the market format will be first come, first served.
Good Food Box Order Date
For $20-$25 worth of healthy, fresh produce (fruits and vegetables), pay $14. Please have exact change - only cash or Harvest Bucks accepted. For more information, drop into our Centre or call 519-455-2791.

HER'd Zine League
Join LUSO Community Services for an 8-week all girls group! Through this program participants will create unique art projects including a Zine (homemade magazine) and talk with other youth about topics that are important to them. Every participant will receive their own art kit to keep and a light dinner and refreshments will be provided each week.
Infant Hearing Screening Program
The Ontario Infant Hearing Program (IHP) is a province wide program of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services that screens babies for hearing loss soon after birth.
Kindergarten Readiness
Do you have a child beginning Kindergarten in September? Family Centre Argyle is excited to be offering a 3-week Kindergarten Readiness Program. Our dedicated team of Early Childhood Educators will help your child to learn to regulate their emotions and behaviours as well as help to prepare them for routines and teach them the life skills that they will need as they begin their school journey. Parents/Caregivers are required to attend these programs with their child.
Outdoor EarlyON Explorers at Kiwanis Park
Join us at Kiwanis Park for an exploration-based program that combines free play, nature, learning from and through our environments, and fun! This program not only gives children an opportunity to explore through play but also teaches parents ways that they can make everyday natural environments rich learning experiences!
Outdoor EarlyON Playgroup at Silverwoods Park
Join us at Silverwoods Park for an Outdoor EarlyON Playgroup. We will have activities and toys for the children to play with but also encourage them to explore the nature around them.
Pajama Playgroup
Join us for our Pajama Playgroup! Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas, play in our EarlyON Playroom, and we will end the program with a dedicated Story Time and serve some warm milk. Hopefully this evening program will help little ones burn off some extra energy and will end with them winding down to bed time!
Prism Art
LUSO Community Services invites children aged 8-12 to embrace their creative side and engage in a 7-week program of arts, crafts, and literacy!
Smart Start for Babies (Prenatal Classes)
A prenatal nutrition program for pregnant women and their support person, facilitated by a Public Health Nurse and Registered Dietician.
