Description of Services
Community Mental Health Counselors (CMHC) in the General Mental Health stream work with individuals who are:
- 16 years of age or older
- have been diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness
- require assistance in order to live in the community
- willing and ready to work collaboratively with CMHC
- strength based recovery model
- supportive counseling and health training
- work in partnership with other community agencies in providing services
