Eligibility / Target Population

Applicants must reside in London * must meet income requirements * must be employed or receiving a regular source of income, such as OW, ODSP, CPP or pension * must have paid back any previous loans to the Housing Stability Bank * must attend eligibility appointment

Description of Services

Financial assistance to low income Londoners to obtain and retain housing, and for those at risk of homelessness

Rental Assistance Program - Interest-free loans to assist with rental arrears, first month's rent (ODSP recipients only) and/or last month's rent

Emergency Utility Assistance - Grants (until grant funds are exhausted annually) or interest-free loans to assist with utility arrears (gas, electricity or water)

Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) - Ongoing assistance applied directly as credit on the bills of eligible low-income electricity consumers/households * credit amount based on the number of people living in the home and total household income
