Description of Services
The primary role of the High School Liaison Officer is to maintain the safety of both students and staff in a high school setting
- designated HRPS officers respond to calls specifically related to high schools throughout the Region of Halton
- High School Officers are a resource for students, teachers, parents and other community agencies
- youth are able to build positive connections with the familiar officers who attend their schools
- Officers can provide education related to topics which impact youth including drugs, alcohol, driving, making positive life choices as well as overall crime
- investigations can arise from complaints from students, staff, parents and the community at large
