Description of Services

Services include:
  • elementary program - JK to Grade 8 * American Sign Language (ASL) is taught through the ASL curriculum
  • secondary program - Grades 9-12 - includes basic, general, and advanced level courses, technical/vocational programs, extensive co-operative education and work experience programs
  • also offers Life Skills program * students are taught independent living skills and vocational preparation
  • Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program is also offered by the school
  • Spoken English program * this program involves speechreading, auditory training, and oral language development

Resource Services Program provides:
  • preschool services for children who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families
  • teacher training and consultation services to district school boards for students who are deaf and hard of hearing
