Description of Services
Provides assessment and treatment of acute hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries using a team approach to rehabilitation * staff consist of one certified hand therapist (CHT), occupational therapists (OT) , physiotherapist (PT) and occupational therapy assistant * services include but not limited to:
fractures
tendon and nerve lacerations
dislocations
burns
grafts
replants
implants
amputations
repetitive strain injuries
Treatments include:
range of motion exercise
static, dynamic, progressive splinting
sensory evaluation; desensitization and re-education
pain management
functional strengthening programs
home exercise programs
edema management
burn and scar management
education
manual therapy
