Waiting Period: clients walking into the MHAUCC are usually seen within one hour

Eligibility / Target Population

Individuals 16 years or older who are experiencing a mental health or addictions crisis who cannot safely wait for community mental health and addiction support.

Fees

Services are provided at no cost upon presentation of a valid OHIP card

Description of Services

Works in partnership with community social agencies to provide crisis response services to individuals experiencing a mental health or addictions crisis who cannot safely wait for community mental health and addiction support.

Services include:
  • 24/7 Crisis telephone line
  • 24/7 Walk-in service, adjacent to the Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus, Emergency Department
As of May 1, 2025 addictions services offered through HDGH's Addiction Assessment and Referral program have been absorbed by our Mental Health and Addictions Urgent Care Crisis Centre (MHAUCC) program. Any client who meets the criteria outlined above may attend the MHAUCC for these services.
