Description of Services
Basic and advanced foot care provided by nurses certified in advanced foot care management
Foot Care services may include:
For people with diabetes and older people with disability
Nurses complete an evaluation * referral to chiropodist given if needed * appointments are booked for every 6-8 weeks
Foot Care services may include:
- Nail cleaning, trim and file
- Corn and callus reduction/ removal
- Care of ingrown and involuted toenails
- Diabetic foot care
- Education and treatment options for fungal, thick and discoloured toenails
- Health teaching, education and monitoring for ongoing foot care health;
- Advice on proper foot wear needs
For people with diabetes and older people with disability
Nurses complete an evaluation * referral to chiropodist given if needed * appointments are booked for every 6-8 weeks
