Description of Services
Confidential pregnancy services and supports including pregnancy tests
and counselling, information and referral, outreach services, early literacy support, assistance with schooling, and peer support groups
Prenatal Classes and Programs - Group prenatal education classes * prenatal and postnatal information and education, childbirth preparation, and parenting information
Young Family Programs - Provides young families, including pregnant or parenting teens, single and newcomer parents with prenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding support, parenting information, and/or a health appointments with a nurse Practitioner, nurse, dietitian, or social worker
Child Minding Program - Childminding services provided onsite for prenatal young women
Section 23 School Program - Assistance for young women to receive elementary or secondary school credits * available to any pregnant or parenting young women, up to the age of 21
Transitional Program - Young women who are working with Family and Children Services (CAS), prenatal young women who are planning to place their child up for adoption, or young women who enter the prenatal services and miscarry are eligible to receive front line staff support until they can transition back into the community
