Description of Services
Community-based program assists those with mental illnesses or disorders that have an incident or conflict with the criminal justice system
Services and programs available:
Release from Custody - Assists youth 16 years and older who reside in the North Simcoe Muskoka district who may be at risk of involvement/re-involvement in the criminal justice system. Release and discharge planning for community reintegration.
Services and programs available:
- court support services in criminal courts located in Barrie, Midland, Collingwood, Orillia and Penetanguishene
- court diversion program for those charged with minor criminal offenses
- release from custody services for inmates being discharged from Central North Correctional Centre in Penetanguishene
- consultation
- support and education
- referrals to community resources
- case management services
