Description of Services
Palliative and general medicine unit cares for:
The palliative care team specialize in the care and treatment of patients at the end of life. Services include pain management, comfort measures and social work services to support patients and families
Location: Ninth Level, East Wing
- palliative patients/patients requiring end-of-life care
- patients with acute medical conditions (eg. urinary tract infections, dementia, delirium, gastrointestinal (GI) bleed, sepsis, etc.)
- patients with tracheostomy
