Eligibility / Target Population

people with a diagnosis of a spinal cord injury or disease *must be able to participate in treatment and have specific rehab goals that patient can achieve *must be able to direct own care or have someone to assist with it *must have access to a family doctor to monitor health needs during therapy *must have reliable transportation to and from appointments

Description of Services

Programs and services for people with a diagnosis of a spinal cord injury or disease

Assistive Technology Service - Assessment and training for patients with special devices to support writing needs * speech language pathologists support patients in need of voice recognition software

Bone Density Service - Diagnosis, treatment, and study of osteoporosis in patients with a spinal cord injury or other neurological conditions

Gynecology Clinic
- Gynecological care for women with impaired mobility * services include routine pelvic exams, counselling on fertility issues, pregnancy, menstrual irregularities, and menopause

Robson Clinic
- Diagnosis, management, and prevention of urological dysfunction * provides consultation on sexuality and fertility issues to male patients

Seating Clinic - Assessments and prescriptions for patients' wheelchair mobility and seating needs

Skin and Wound Management Clinic - Care and education for preventing and managing pressure ulcers

Intrathecal Baclofen (ITB) Clinic
- Provides Intrathecal Baclofen Pump therapy to patients with spasticity who do not respond to standard treatment

Progression level of rehabilitative care for patients working to restore or maximize functionality
