Description of Services

Public health inspectors provide a variety of programs and services which include the following:
  • food handler training and certification classes
  • food safety
  • health hazard prevention and management
  • infectious diseases prevention and control
  • part 8/Ontario building code (septic systems permits and inspections)
  • public health emergency preparedness
  • rabies prevention and control
  • safe water (drinking and recreational)
  • tobacco enforcement
  • vector borne diseases including West Nile virus
