Conducts regulatory inspections of all retail,
service and institutional food premises to assess compliance with Food
Premises Regulation under the Health Protection and Promotion Act
Investigates food-borne illnesses and complaints regarding food premises
Offers educational sessions to food handlers, including class and online Food Handler Certification (check with Public Health for a schedule)
Receives special occasion permits for temporary food events and special events
