Volunteer based programs providing support to clients/caregivers
Caregiver Support Group:
Friendly Visiting Program/Telephone Reassurance:
Caregiver Support Group:
- organized on a monthly basis for caregivers and volunteers designed to educate, inform, and empower caregivers
- participants learn about health-related issues
- receive information on other programs available in the community to support and help them through the caregiving process
- network with other caregivers
Friendly Visiting Program/Telephone Reassurance:
- regular volunteer visits and/or phone calls to seniors who live in their home, hospital, and long term care setting
- provide companionship and reassurance
- respite and support to caregivers
- security reassurance checks by telephone
- free of cost / available in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon
