Description of Services
Emergency room care at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance * doctors, nurses, and other health professionals assess and treat life-threatening injuries or severe illness out of two sites: Chatham Site and Wallaceburg Site
Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centre - Comprehensive care for persons who have experienced a recent sexual assault and/or act of violence by an intimate partner with crisis support, health and forensic services. These services are provided at our Chatham Site Emergency Department, and our Wallaceburg Site when needed.
Dementia Resource Education Advocacy Mentorship (DREAM) Team - Has been implemented in CKHA’s Emergency Department with the goal to assist dementia patients and their caregivers with early intervention, information and assistance in order to keep dementia patients out of emergency rooms and avoid lengthy hospital stays.
