School-based programs for youth on conflict and involvement in criminal justice system

Extrajudicial Sanctions and Measures - Diversion programs provide alternatives to formal charges for youth who may be facing a criminal charge under the Youth Criminal Justice Act

Justice Circles - Alternative to formal court proceedings for youth 12-17 years * youth and parent/guardian meet with committee of community of volunteers and victim to decide ways or sanctions for youth to repair harm caused

Peer Power - Facilitators discuss communication and conflict resolution skills in presentations to youth in grades 4-12

Restorative Approaches - Mediation service focused on positive restoration related to conflict and bullying in the school setting

Youth Counselling - Intervention and prevention programs for youth * focus on anger management, positive decision-making, values, communication, and victim awareness/empathy
