Imaging of the body for diagnosis and treatment
X-ray radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) * digital tomosynthesis used to create series of image slices at various depths from within the body * mgnetic resonance imaging (MRI) * bone mineral density measurements * nuclear medicine imaging, including positron emission tomography (PET) and scintimammography
Electronic imaging services include:

Electronic imaging services include:
- teleradiology
- "filmless" diagnostic imaging
- picture archive and communications system (PACS) integrated with the hospital information system (HIS) and radiology information system (RIS)
- Upper gastrointestinal (upper GI) series to examine esophagus, stomach, duodenum
- Barium enema to examine large bowel (colon)
- Small bowel examinations to find problems such as ulcers, growths, narrowed areas
- Intravenous pyelogram (IVP) to examine kidneys, ureters, and urinary bladder
- Defecating proctogram
