Application

Client, healthcare professionals, care providers, or family may request an assessment * medical referral required for wheelchair/seating assessment

Eligibility / Target Population

Adults who require an assessment for wheelchair or related seating * must have a valid OHIP card (or alternate payment plan)

Fees

Set fees * publicly-funded services available to those who are eligible * funding may be available through the Assistive Devices Program

Description of Services

Seating clinic to help improve comfort, posture, and the ability to perform daily activities with specialized seating or mobility devices * therapists assess and prescribe wheelchairs and related seating equipment to adults with complex seating needs * therapists are registered authorizers with the Assistive Devices Program
