Description of Services

Nonprofit justice and mental health centre that advocates on behalf of the needs of children, youth, and families in crisis because of crime and violence, clinical assessments, intervention, consultation and training, public education, research and advocacy, mental health assessments, monitoring of parental disputes, alternative dispute resolution, and psychological support.

  • Multidisciplinary Clinical Supports Program Program provides intensive mental health services to adolescents living in local custody or therapeutic care settings and their families * services provided by clinicians, registered nurses, licensed pediatric psychiatrists and registered psychologists

  • Parenting Capacity Assessments Assessment in family separation matters to aid courts, lawyers, and Children's Aid Societies make court-ordered decisions that are in the best interests of the children.

  • Parenting Plan Evaluations Specialized assessment makes recommendations to assist parents, lawyers, and the Court in deciding on parenting time and decision-making responsibilities that are in the best interests of the children after separation or divorce * Most parenting plan evaluations are ordered by the Court, under Section 30 of the Children’s Law Reform Act, parents can also request an assessment directly * assessments completed by unbiased masters or doctoral level trained assessors * includes individual interviews, questionnaires, parent-child observations, and collecting recommendations from physicians, counselors, and other individuals close to the family
