Description of Services
Supports for older adults with hearing loss * helps clients:
Education and training for family and caregivers on communicating with someone with hearing loss, and on use and maintenance of hearing aids and communication devices
Services available through home visits, in-office appointments, and virtual sessions
Sound Advice on Hearing Health - Series of two-hour virtual workshops for older adults with hearing loss * focuses on improving communication, increase confidence and self-advocacy, and decreasing isolation
- understand their hearing loss
- prepare to manage difficult listening situations (e.g. social gatherings, restaurants)
- remain independent and safe at home
Education and training for family and caregivers on communicating with someone with hearing loss, and on use and maintenance of hearing aids and communication devices
