Eligibility / Target Population

Individuals 18 years of age and older who have been charged with minor criminal offence. Court Support Group is for any female involved in the judicial system at the A. Grenville and William Davis Courthouse.

Description of Services

The program offers the following gender specific groups:

Anger management - program for adult women that helps them to identify the role of anger and its use. Clients learn to recognize different “styles” of anger and concrete strategies to effectively manage their own anger. Group members also learn more about their own personal and community resources
Alcohol and drug awareness - E Fry in partnership with the Ministry of the Attorney General provides alcohol and drug addiction and anger management programming for low-risk, first-time offenders, to address the underlying issues that contributed to their offending behaviour
Stop shop-theft program - E Fry in partnership with the Ministry of the Attorney General provides a Stop Shop Theft Program low-risk, first-time offenders, to address the underlying issues that contributed to their offending behaviour. The Stop Shop Theft program is a 3 hour facilitation program offered to individuals who have been charged with retail theft
