Description of Services

Counselling and support services for families living in shelters

Services include:
  • Shelters Program - counselling services for families with children 18 years and younger who have experienced violence
  • School Liaison Program - school-based program that supports ages 4 to 16 living in CDI partner shelters
  • Taste of Home - drop-in after school cooking program teaching children how to prepare budget friendly healthy meals

We work with each child and family’s unique strengths, needs and challenges. We help them to uncover their abilities, give them tools to succeed, and support them in overcoming challenges.
