Description of Services

Mînowacihewin - Regional Service for Indigenous People (MINO) provides mental health support and services to individuals who self-identify as Indigenous in partnership with other regional and district level community partners throughout the northeast region. The service provides supports to patients and their treatment teams while they are preparing for discharge from hospital and offer time limited follow-up in their home community as appropriate and in partnership with community based services. This program also offers capacity building and consultation for cultural safety and Indigenous mental health in all care environments
