178-bed acute and continuing care hospital with
emergency department, medical, surgical, intensive care units,
obstetrics, mental health, paediatrics, rehabilitation, and ambulatory
care services
Ambulatory Care Services
Outpatient specialist services and clinics providing diagnoses and treatments for various medical conditions
Complex Care
21-bed inpatient program providing time-limited restorative rehabilitative care to people with complex medical needs * focuses on patient's ability to stabilize, progress, and maintain their activity tolerance and functionality * low intensity therapy over a longer period of tie to meet the individual's medical, physical and cognitive rehabilitative goals * transitional care to support individuals returning to a community-based setting (home, retirement home) or a hospital-based intensive rehabilitation program as appropriate
Critical Care Unit
13 beds that allow for the treatment of patients with serious and life-threatening injuries and illnesses * multidisciplinary team includes:
physicians
registered nurses
respiratory therapists
physiotherapists
pharmacists
dietitians
social workers
spiritual care personnel
laboratory staff
occupational therapists
Emergency Department
Emergency room care * multidisciplinary team of emergency trained professionals assess and provide treatment and care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries
Maternal Child Unit
Families are encouraged to participate in the pre-registration program at 35-36 weeks into their gestation; complete and submit their paperwork and a birth plan to the hospital prior to birth * pre-admit services include virtual tour found on the website * triage service is available for labour assessment and fetal well-being from 20 weeks gestation and
up* the unit has 5 birthing rooms with private bathrooms each with an air jet tub, 24-hour epidural support and consultation with an Obstetrician * affiliated with Thames Valley Midwives
