Bell Relay Service is a communication link over the telephone between Deaf and hearing people
To talk to a deaf/hard of hearing person through the Bell Relay Service call 1-800-855-0511
Give the name, area code and telephone number of the person you are calling
Speak slowly so the operator can type what you are saying
The operator will place the call and tell you to go ahead when the person you are calling answers
Deaf/hard of hearing people dial 711 for the Bell Relay Service operator

Eligibility / Target Population
Individuals who are culturally deaf, oral deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing
Ontario residents 18 years and older, with reading, writing and math skills below Grade 12 of the Ontario Curriculum
Must have facility in English or in American Sign Language (ASL)

Description of Services
Offers literacy and basic skills training, including numeracy, digital, communication and interpersonal skills
