Ski! Skate! Slide! Celebrate Olympic Pride!

The Children's Museum has Olympic Fever! Explore our latest exhibit and cheer on Canada's best as they go for the gold in Vancouver! Learn all about training for competition and how to be your best. Test your skills at throwing a curling rock, take a shot at scoring on our goalie, create your own figure skating routine, and navigate through an alpine ski course. Proudly wear your own gold medal atop the Olympic podium! During the Olympic and Paralympic games we will be watching and cheering on Canadian Olympians, and adding medalists to our own medal board. Show your Olympic spirit!

Ski! Skate! Slide! is on display until March 28, 2010 and is generously supported by GoodLife Kids Foundation and a General Mills Champions for Healthy Kids grant.

Learn all about a career as an engineer! Join engineering volunteers for KNEX building challenges and you could win some cool prizes! Use your engineering skills to construct a vessel to protect your egg from a three-storey egg drop on Saturday, March 6 & Sunday, March 7 between 10 a.m. and 12 noon!

The colourful culture of Japan comes to life during this traditional 'Doll Festival'! Enjoy a display of Japanese dolls, traditional tea ceremony and sumo wrestling demonstrations. Learn how to write in Japanese characters and create your own colourful kites too!

This free drop-in program for adults and children will stimulate communication, collaboration and creativity. Visit one of many exhibits and then drop-in for an afternoon of art making.
Our staff monitors can provide guidance and introduce you to a wide range of art making through painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking and more. We’ll supply the ingredients. Just roll up your sleeves and add your imagination. Enjoy quality time with a child in your life as you cook up something new together in Imagination Station.

Afternoon Adventure

On Saturday and Sunday the Boys and Girls Club is open from 1:00-4:00pm. The programming is designed for family fun, children of all ages are welcome to interact with their family and develop new friendships with all children. Recreational swim sessions provide a great opportunity for the family to swim together promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. All visitors must pay the requisite $3.00 non-member fee. Weekend memberships are available.
