Services to help job seekers
Employer Services - Assist employers with recruitment and retention needs * work experience hosting positions * advice regarding workplace accommodations and recruiting and retaining employees * assessment and return to work programs for workers with disabilities and injuries * training services for employees: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Expert Customer Service and Cash Training
Supports to Entrepreneurs - Opportunities for those interested in self-employment to access supports that may include direct supports, referrals and micro-finance (depending on eligibility)
- exploration of career goals/job targets
- information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities
- assistance with skills and educational planning and funding
- information about job opportunities, training and career planning
- job search assistance, such as resumes, cover letters, interview preparation
- direct access to employment opportunities through partnerships with employers
- on-the-job training and/or work experience and support to help maintain employment
